weathered old bone we found at the beach - I assume it's a seal bone since that area is big on pinnipeds (and sharks are big on snacking on them), but it's possible that it belonged to a mob informant or something (who watches too many crime shows? not me)
I know taking home a bone is kind of macabre, but it's actually really beautiful, layers of it have been worn down in different places, it's silky soft and completely hollow and you can see some of the inside pitting on the bones.
